Yet Another Day
Drawing upon Camus’ philosophical essay The Myth of Sisyphus, this work deals with the absurdities of life, by constantly transforming ideas seeking a purpose and meaning which is never found.
“Yet Another Day” is a collaboration with the composer Greg Giamougiannis and it is following the same compositional structure for music, dance and lighting design, consisting of six unfinished episodes; six acts that are always interrupted by a single motive that takes everything back to a vanishing point, a point zero, leading then to a new beginning.
Four dancers, a flute quartet and four light-bulbs execute the Sisyphean ordeal.
