INHABITING CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS
ARIADNE’S THREAD
Performance / Installation
In January 2017 I was invited by curator Symeon Banos to inhabit the unfamiliar to me space of Central Saint Martins. The task was to embody my identity and memories on the concrete and try to settle a shelter I could call "home".
Inspired by the ancient Greek myth of Ariadne I used movement and thread to create a visual environment that followed my route inside the building. The performance had the nature of a witchcraft ritual treating the iconic building as the ancient Minoan Labyrinth.
